NEW Voice Assistant Localized Skills

Hey Alexa, open Ohio Real Estate

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty is making the lives of buyers and sellers around Ohio easier than ever before. If your voice assistant isn’t already your go-to friend, it will be now. The Google Home, Amazon Echo and Amazon Alexa have become household names. BHHS Pro Realty is evolving these household names into home searches made simple in markets across Ohio. BHHS Pro Realty has partnered with expert real estate search company, Voiceter Pro, LLC., to create 6 localized skills buyers and sellers can enable on their devices:

Our very own proficient Alexa user, Carly Young, is looking to buy a home in the the Cincinnati area that is around $500,000. Watch as Alexa sifts through MLS information in order to find Carly her dream home:

Now that Alexa found Carly a new place to call home, she is looking to sell her current house. Watch as Carly finds out the value of her home and gets paired with an agent to assist her in her selling needs:

These devices promote convenience within the home to start a conversation around the buying and selling process. Notice that Carly was able to make her breakfast while giving simple commands to Alexa to become more knowledgeable about the local market and her home value.

If you’ve never enabled skills on your voice assistant, we have you covered. Here are instructions from Amazon and Google that are specific to each device.

ComScore’s statistical search analysis predicts that 50% of all searches will be accomplished by voice search in 2020. This announcement puts the brokerage on the cutting edge of the technological transition. The rollout of these new skills will increase the device’s ability to search for homes on the market that match a buyer’s criteria and give sellers information about their home. BHHS Pro Realty hopes the skills will make local home searches seamless by instantly providing answers.

“I admire them for their foresight into the future success of voice assistant home searches,” said Voiceter’s CEO, Miguel Berger. “People are curious about the value of their home compared to their neighbor’s so they can utilize these skills to become more knowledgeable about the market in the area.”

Google and Amazon voice assistants are experiencing a gap in the skill market within home buying and selling search capabilities. Voiceter is a third-party skill service specializing in real estate voice searches to help close this gap. They have collaborated with our team of professionals to create more skills than previously seen from brokerages across the nation.

There are over 25,000 skills on Amazon’s Alexa that range from stand up comedy to enabling music playlists. There’s even a way to turn on your porch light with the help of Alexa and a simple voice command. Don’t be mistaken, your Amazon Echo can enable a majority of the same skills as Alexa including all six of our market skills.

Google created their own voice assistant with the rollout of Google Home. According to Voicebot, Google Home has 1,719 assistant apps as of January 2018. The biggest issue these devices face is user's lack of knowledge about enabling the thousands of skills they have access to.

And in case you're still not convinced to try out our 6 new skills... here is one final reason you should get on board with this new technology:
