It all started when…

With over 27 years of sales experience, Yvonne Patton took her expertise from publishing to real estate. Yvonne worked in several roles within a textbook publishing company beginning at age 19. She worked her way around the company until she decided to pursue selling homes for a living in 2014. Her part-time role has since landed her as a full-time agent with our brokerage. Yvonne’s customer service experience is unparalleled and her ability to lead as a supervisor has translated well into her career as a real estate agent. She specifically specializes in helping first-time homebuyers by providing them with smaller portions of the whole picture along their journey. She treats every first-time buyer like her own breaking down the process step-by-step.

As a single mother, Yvonne is constantly working to be her children’s role model by succeeding in her real estate career. Her journey through life has inspired her to cater to those with a lower credit score to create opportunities for them. She wants to leave her children and grandchildren with a legacy so they can pursue a career they enjoy down the road whether that be real estate or a different endeavor. Yvonne has been a wonderful addition to our brokerage providing her clients with a lot of passion and even more business savvy knowledge along the way.

Professional Q&A

Why Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty?

“BHHS Pro Realty gave me opportunities that other companies did not. I feel that they are far more supportive of their agents and give us the tools and resources to do our job effectively.”

What sets you apart from other agents?

“I am the agent who loves helping clients that haven't always been sound in their financial decisions. Working with these clients makes me proud to provide them with a second chance.”

What is one thing you believe every house must have?

“I have had to wash dishes by hand a great deal in my life. Therefore, a dishwasher is most important to me in every house.”

How do you maintain a work-life balance?

“When I am home and my family is around I will carve out time just for the family. In the summer months when I have a higher volume, I schedule a trip to see my mother in Georgia between work.”

What advice do you have for buyers and sellers in today’s market?

“For buyers, I would highly suggest finding a home that doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles right off the bat. You could get a home that has a good framework and make the updates that you envision later on in order to build equity over time. For the sellers, I would recommend having someone come in and walk through your house to give a buyers perception on the condition and presentation of the home. Use this information as constructive criticism to make revisions before the property goes on the market.”
